I've been thinking a lot about the way we live and how I would love to grow more organic vegetables and fruit .
We are hoping to move house in the next year or two, so I don't really want to be spending a huge amount on making raised beds and things if we are going to leave it all behind .
This morning we went to Attingham Park which is owned by The National Trust, it's a stately home, with acres upon acres of land which is home to deer, cows , and lots of other animals .
The best bit for me was seeing all the Organic Vegetables growing in the walled garden - it was truly impressive. It gave me a lot of ideas on how to make a functional garden pretty , as the 70 strong gardening team have made it visually a very pretty place, but the amount of food in there was impressive too ! I could live off it for the next 6 months quite happily!
Besides the vegetables growing they had lots of garlic , flowers and lavender drying , and an orchard of 250 trees too. They also had a little stall of vegetables for sale and of course I took the opportunity to buy some of their carefully grown produce ! Excellent value too, all in all one happy Moma!
